The Redcoat blog
was launched in January 2012, in order to provide concise coverage and quick
explanations of US politics for those seeking information on what is happening
in Washington and the elections, as well as those who want to find out how a
lot of US politics works.
The blog also endeavours to provide unique, engaging and
incisive comment on the American political scene from the perspective of an
interested observer on the other side of the Atlantic.
There is a weekly review on Sunday mornings, as well as comment pieces and brief summaries of major US news during the week.
The author of the blog is Jack Blackburn, a graduate of the University of Oxford, who writes for the Tory Reform Group’s Egremont blog and was voted one of Total Politics magazine’s top non-aligned political bloggers in 2011.
